House Amendments

(Option 1 shown on left) The theatre currently has a large opening on the right and another smaller opening on the left that stretches around the corner of the wall adjoining the dining area. It bothers me a little bit that the wall behind the dining table wont completely stretch across and also it will make it harder for a door or curtain to be included later on if needed to block out light.

(Option 2 shown in middle and outlined in red) We were thinking perhaps we will extend the wall a little further so it doesn't open on the corner and make the two openings symmetrical in size (900mm) so that we can put lush thick theatre curtains on rods above the entries to close off the light/sound if needed. Also this will allow a little more space for the TV cabinet or wall mounted tv.

(Option 3 shown on right) The third option was to completely close off one doorway to have one opening to the theatre and extend the wall so that you only have the hall side open. But we are a little worried it might make the hallway and theatre feel closed off and also it makes it just seem like another bedroom instead of a living area.

The kitchen currently looks like the plan below, with the two open top cupboards to the left of the oven and the oven slightly off centre to the right of the units. It somewhat bothers the designer in me a little that it's not symmetrical? So i made up a quick alteration below of what i might like to change if it was in the budget and wasn't too much of a hassle.

Basically the oven would be central and we would change two of the horizontal top cupboards to the vertical cupboards on the outside edges. Then we would also replace 4 of the lower vertical cupboards with draws (which may or may not already be included in the promo for pot draws?) I'm unsure as we haven't seen our personal drawings yet for the house. (Ignore the measurements etc as i didn't fix all those i just laid the new cabinets over the top...)
